Helpful tips for interior painting

To begin your home project, move everything out of the room or at least to the center of the room, but EVERYTHING should be covered up. Every painter has a horrible story about the time he didn't follow this rule. If you are repairing drywall or sanding you should take everything out because the dust gets on everything..Remove doors, light fixtures and hardware, and label everything so you know where it is to be put back. Also, invest in drop cloths. Just a few drops of paint can get spread all over the place! Buy high-quality drop cloths, such as canvas or paper-backed plastic. (Paint soaks right through lightweight fabrics and bedsheets.) Plastic sheeting works, but it's very slippery and doesn't absorb drips.
